The War Z

What is The War Z?

The War Z is a survival MMO with zombies, developed by Hammerpoint Interactive for PC. You will be in a big map which main mission will be to survive, not only against zombies but against anothers players as well. It is still a developing game, other maps, skills, weapons, new zombies and new areas will come in the next months. 


What is about the story?

You just have to survive, it won't be as easy as you could think. You will have five characters to play on the server you want to gain experience. Do you think you are able to survive playing for 2 hours? Try it. 

"It's been five years since the outbreak; leaving in its wake a post-apocalyptic nightmare with ninety-five percent of the human population gone. In order to stay alive, you will need food, weapons, and other supplies. Some of you will be able to scavenge as you navigate the terrain, others will be forced to fight for survival as you encounter zombies and other players. Every decision will have an impact on whether you live or how quickly you die." -The War Z

What can you do in War Z?

The question is not what can you do, the question is what do you need to survive, first of all, you'll need food, some drink, medicines, and of course weapons, the more powerfull the weapon will be, the better. You can pick all this stuff in markets, police stations, fire stations, houses... But also, you can catch it from other players, killing them (yes, if you die or kill another player, all your/him stuff might be lose) or trading with them the items you want.


How is the game? (My opinion)

The game as I said is still in a developing time. They still have a long way to reach the game that the first customers thought it would be.

The War Z is using a game engine called Eclipse 2.5, although the results are not well done, the game runs fluid, it's able to support more than 100 players per server (map).
The combat system is very basic when you are going to attack anything with a knife, hammer... with poors animations, however, guns, rifles, etc are quite well, so undoubtelly you will choose this kind of weapons.
The skills you might choose are few, but this really doesn't matter, due to the most important will be your skills to survive.
Also you have two modes of playing the game, normal mode, and hardcore mode which you have to choose when you create a new character. On normal mode when you die need to wait  1 hour to revive your character, without loosing your experience, nonetheless, if you are playing in hardcore mode, if you die, you have to delete that character, no option to revive, loosing all the items and the experience of that character.

Downside is that I think they released the game too soon, usually people thought that this game would be a PvE game with a little PvP, but not, it is mainly PvP, and due to some people use hacks (they are banning them continuosly), is a big problem. And like Counter Strike, you think see hackers everywhere, although this is not so.

So The War Z can bring you a lot of hours of fun if what you like are the survival games. The only time limit you will have, will be yours hours of fun and of course yours skills. I will encourage you to watch some gameplays and to play it if you think this game might be for you!

What is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ?

Skyrim is a RPG (Role-Playing Game), belongs to the The Elder Scrolls saga which started with The Elder Scrolls: Arena in 1994, it continued with the second part, Daggerfall in 1996, through the game that many people regard as the best, Morrowind in 2002, and the fourth, Oblivion in 2006. Until Skyrim, released  on 11-11-2011. Skyrim was developed by Bethesda Softworks. The map is a fantastic open world, where you will able to do anything, with levels which can be raised with increasing experience in different skills.


What is about the story?

You'll begin in the continent of Tamriel like a prisioner at the right time, Dragons are coming back, after escaping, you will discover that you are Dovahkiin or Dragon-born, this will be the main mission. Dragons are coming back, and you have to discover why and how to destroy them. There will be a lot of (maybe "a lot of" is an understatement) secondary missions.


What can you do in Skyrim?

Everything is the correct word, investigate the map ( it will allow you to, not only discover new places, but also find new missions), hire friends to help you, craft weapons, armors, potions, amulets ... cook, enchant items, trade, invest, buy a house, gathering materials, mine, sharpening weapons, smelting ores...
From the beginning you'll be able to choose  what kind character you wanna play, fully customizable (eyes, hair, head, colours...), with several races availables (human, breton, khajiit, argonian...) each one with uniques powers and characteristics.  


How is the game? (My opinion)

The game is simply perfect. Graphics are impressive, with a lot of different scenarios, mountains, rivers, forests, marshes really well made thanks in part to the graphics. 
The user interface is done for an easy and simple use by which you will adapt to the game from the beginning. 
The combat system is very successful in part by the combat skills and its variety ( one hand swords, two hand swords, archery, mazes, axes, never without forgetting the magic), that you will be able to use at any time, only limited by your character skills, and of course your own skills. 
The artificial inteligence of the NPCs is spectacular, only limited with a really few terrain bugs, which you hardly will discover.
The skill tree is amaizing, very complete, unfortunately is almost impossible to complete it, due to the hard that is to get skill points, due to this, you have to choose your primary skills if you wanna reach the maximum level.
The main story is exciting, the more you play, the more immersed you will be. And, although you sometimes might be tired about them, you will have a lot of secondary missions to "disconnect", and believe me, you will not find any game with so many missions. You will never get bored.

If you love the RPG games, and you have not played Skyrim yet, sincerely, I don't know what are you doing that you are not playing it now (well, yes, reading this hehehe). Hurry up! Move! Buy it! Play and enjoy it! It will bring you so many hours enjoying, for sure, more than 60 hours if you mainly play the main mission, if you play all the missions... I can't say you how many hours of fun you'll play.

Far Cry 3

What is Far Cry 3?

Far Cry 3 is a FPS (First Person Shooter), developed by Ubisoft for PC, XBox 360 and PS3. It was released on 29/11/2012. You will be in an open world, which you'll be able to go everywhere you want. There is a crafting system that will allow you to craft bags, syringes...
You can play different modes: story, cooperative and multiplayer.



What is about the story?

You will be Jason Brody, an american. You and your friends will be arrested by a group of a pirates. After being able to escape, you will join to the people who lived there since the beginning. Your mission is to save your friends and escape from the island, or at least this is what you thought initially...


What can you do in Far Cry 3?

The game have a main story, but you'll be able to do a lot of things, reveal the map will be obligatory, find relics and treasures, a lot of secondary missions ( some of them are necessary to unblock some stuff to craft), hunt animals, gather plants, poker, different challenges...
All this will give you money (to buy or customize weapons) and experience. The XP will let you to unblock some skills that will make you more powerful ( more health points, differents modes to kill enemies...). You also can drive 12 different vehicles to move where you want if you don't want to use the fast travel.


How is the game? (My opinion, only in story mode)

Well, the graphics are awesome, the game have a really nice ambience, although sometimes I miss a denser jungle. The scenarios are quite achieved ( caves, bunkers, ruins, wrecks...) you will find them everywhere you go, ready to explore. The UI is easy to use and smart.
The combat system is fantastic, with an AI really well done, sometimes you will think that you are fighting to another player. Also you will have enough weapons to enjoy, plus a lot of different animals.
The skill tree is fine, especially since it will be coordinated with the story, if you want to have all the skills you have to play the main mission, which makes it an incentive to play it.
The story, have theirs ups and downs, but to understand it you have to get into the role of Jason. Also have a lot of impressive sequences through which you will plunge into the role much more.
In fact, the only thing I miss, is more secondary missions, or at least, harder. If you really want to enjoy this game, set the game difficulty on Warrior (Hard), if not, the game will be very easy ( if you have any experience on FPS).
To end the negative fact, is that you only have two slots to save the game. It will be nice if you would have several of them, also too more keys to customize the differents syringes you'll be able to craft.

Ultimately, Far Cry 3 has been a good experience to play, if you had played Far Cry/ Far Cry 2, you must play this one, much better than the others, if you did't you are missing a great game. You have more than 30 hours ahead of game that you will bring you a lot of hours of fun.

Welcome

Hi everyone!

Firts of all, my mother language is spanish and I dont speak english perfectly, so you will see a lot of mistakes, I apologize for this :) .

Let me introduce why I want to write this blog. I´m a PC gamer and I want to tell you my experience in several released games I had played. Explaining my personal opinion and showing you if the game will worth you to play it or not.
